About Me
As a therapist, I’m constantly reminded that resilience is built through connection with the world around us. Compassion, inclusivity, and community are the parts of humanity that allow us to thrive in unsatisfactory conditions.
Runa means human. Connecting to our shared humanity is the key to thriving and transforming in a system that was built on oppressing and exploiting. My goal is to decolonize therapy through culturally competent, accessible, and holistic care.
As a Nuyorican (Puerto Rican New Yorker), I want to serve my city and the communities that have shaped me. Just like my abuelita, who nurtured anyone and everyone willing to accept a warm meal, and a full heart.
Runa is a love letter to my Taino ancestors who survived and carried on the values of our people.
